    RRB JE Exam Pattern

    The RRB JE Exam Pattern consists of the following 4 stages:

    1. First Stage of CBT
    2. Second Stage of CBT
    3. Document Verification / Medical Examination
    4. Final Selection

    The detailed RRB JE exam pattern is given below:

    *Note: It is important for candidates to pass all the stages in order to pass the RRB JE Recruitment process. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in CBT Stage- I and CBT Stage -II.

    RRB JE Exam – Document Verification:

    Once the candidates pass both the stages of the CBT, they will be called in for the document verification stage, where these documents will prove the eligibility of the candidates. The original, as well as two self-attested copies, must be carried by the candidates on the day of the Document Verification. The following are the list of documents that must be produced during the process:

    Caste Certificate for SC/ST category Proves the caste category of the candidate
    Self – Declaration for Ex-Service Personnel Proves the candidate served in the army for the required period and is discharged now
    OBC NCL Certificate Proves that the candidate belongs to the Non-Creamy Layer of the OBC category
    Income Certificate for Examination Fee Waiver Proves the candidate belongs to a low-income setup
    Minority Community Declaration on non-judicial stamp paper Proves the candidate belongs to a minority community
    NOC from Serving Employees Proves the candidate are free to be employment under the RRB JE Recruitment process
    NOC from Serving Defence Personnel stating the date of discharge Proves the candidate has been allowed to get employment under the RRB JE
    Gazetted document showing a change in name, in case it has been changed Proves the candidate has officially changed the name
    Receipt of payment in case of an SBI Challan or Post Office payment Proves the candidate has paid the fee offline
    Self-certification by Transgender Proves that the candidate identifies as a transgender
    J & K Domicile Certificate Proves that the candidate belongs to the state of Jammu and Kashmir
    Decree of divorce or judicial separation and Affidavit mentioning the candidate has not remarried Proves that the candidates is divorced and has not remarried after the divorce
    Death Certificate and Affidavit mentioning the candidate has not remarried Proves that the candidate is a widow and has not remarried after the death of the spouse.

    Salient points to be kept in mind are:

    • The Educational Qualification Certificate/ Decrees must have the date of issue.
    • In case the documents are in other languages other than Hindi or English, then a translated version must be produced instead. Only self-attested and translated copies of the documents will be accepted
    • Candidates must submit the documents during the time of verification. No extension of dates is allowed by the RRB.

    RRB JE Exam – Medical Examination:

    Candidates who are called for the document verification process will have to pass the requisite medical fitness tests conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board. These tests are conducted in order to ensure that the candidates being recruited are medically fit to carry out the duties related to the posts that are opted by them.

    RRB JE Exam Preparation

    Attempting the RRB JE Mock Tests regularly will help you develop a properly planned strategy. You can also refer a few Solved Question Papers of prior years of the different sections to get the feel of a real test and identify any weak spots in the process.

    The syllabus for RRB JE is similar to the syllabus of any other government exam, except that RRB does not include the English language section in any of its exams. Candidates must stay updated with the latest exam pattern as RRB reserves the right to change the exam pattern, number of vacancies or syllabus as per the requirement of the Indian railways and also based on the number of candidates applying for the exam each year.
